What is Books Beginning at Birth?
Books Beginning at Birth is a literacy advocacy program designed for families with children ages 0–5, offering free access to high-quality, age-appropriate books and a supportive reading community. This program empowers parents to start reading aloud from day one, helping children develop strong language skills, emotional bonding, and a curiosity for learning that will benefit them for life.

When you join the Books Beginning at Birth program through Tasy Academy, you’ll receive:
Free print books for families in Texas for children ages 0–4 years limited supply.
Access to our Reading Library, with a curated collection of board books, picture books, and read-along resources
Guided reading sessions and story-time events at Tasy Academy
Helpful tips for parents on how to make reading fun and effective at every stage
Support and encouragement from teachers and staff who are trained in early literacy development.
